Not A Soul Around. Therefore, I Blog.
I have been trying to fart (a belch would do) the whole day. It's there. I can feel it but it refuses to leave my body. Bloated la. Itu la, dats why, it's that time of the month. I must drink more water because I should have taken a dump this morning but didn't. I only drink filtered or RO water from clear containers, either glass or plastic mineral water bottles. Everything else just makes me want to barf. Do not ask me why. It's hard to explain. I know it's a definitely a mental thing. Anyone else in the same boat? Probably not.
I will be cooking dinner for myself and Punie tonight. It will be the first time since I moved here. I have the ingredients for Thai fried rice. Sounds good, quick and simple. Pineapples in rice. Yum. I hope it turns out well.
Last night I swam 24 laps in the pool, which is equivalent to approximately 9 laps in an olympic size pool, sweat a bucket in the sauna, crunched 400 times and lifted some weights in the gym. It felt so damn bloody good. Now the impossible part is trying to keep it up.
Places I must visit before the new year:
1. Zoo Negara
2. Muzium Negara
3. Aquaria KLCC
4. One more performance at KL PAC

28th June & 15 September
You are a Cat:
An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool, when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.
13 May
You are a Monkey:
Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!
24 May
You are a Lion:
Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfully derive work from people. You love being loved, and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....
6 & 9 December
You are a Dog:
A very loyal and sweet person.Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

The House Of Sand & Fog

Finally, I have finished reading this book. I decided to take this book slow, very slow. I read several pages every night before I went to bed. I quite like reading like this now. Dont get me wrong though, this is no indication of the stimulatingness or rivetingness of the book. Reading bit by bit actually gave me more time to absorb the book and understand the characters. This book is tragic and totally unexpected but a good read nonetheless. The only predicatable aspect of this novel is the fact that all the characters are in a lose-lose situation. There is a little to like and a little to dislike in each character. It's hard to choose sides. Very well written. I like it. Read it!
CRASH
I WILL JUDGE YOU I WILL BERATE YOU I WILL LOVE YOU
I WILL NEED YOU I WILL KILL YOU I WILL COMFORT YOU
I WILL HELP YOU I WILL ABANDON YOU
Truly moving

Stabbed!
On Wednesday morning, one of our Staff got stabbed in the basement car parking lot. The victim was parked with his signal on just beyond an empty parking spot. As he is about to reverse in, another car rushes in and takes the space. After a heated argument, the second car decides to find his own parking spot. As the victim is leaving his car, the man from the second car (the assailant) confronts him. They argue further until both lose it and fists start flying. The attacker gives the victim a hard punch in the stomach and then decides to just leave it at that. The victim too decides to just walk away with minor bruises or so he thought until he reached the lift lobby. His shirt is drenched in blood. He is rushed to the hospital by a colleague. The cops are called and the 50 year old attacker who works within the building is traced. When questioned, the attacker admitted to punching the victim in the stomach with the sharp end of his car key but apparently didn't realize that he actually punctured a hole in the guy. He is now in plice custody pending further investigation.
Next time I am in a situation where there are two cars and one empty parking space, I am going to look for another one man! Creepy shit.

Scaredy Cat
On the way to pick my cutie-pie, pandai mau mati niece and Ots up from KLIA, my boyfriend could not help but show-off his driving skills. We reached 240 km/hour on the long stretch coming up to the terminal!! I cant explain why, but my hands were over my mouth between 200 - 220 km/hour. Beyond that, they moved up to my eyes and I found my eyes were damp. I was crying. Damn, I was scared shitless.
My niece, Shannon Lissa Chim Pan Zee is so cute biut oh. Before she went to KK, she fell and bumped her eye on the edge of a stool (to those who have been to Ots place, its the teak stool they use to put their shoes on near the kitchen door). Anyway, on Tuesday, when they got back from the airport, I noticed that her eye was blue-black. She was lying on a mattress in the living room and I go up to her and sayang-sayang her eye, and the normal kesian-kesian shit we do to babies la. Suddenly, she gets up and just starts walking straight to the stool, to the exact area where she hit her eye and she points at it and feels it. So pandai oh she. She was showing us exactly where it happend. And this was like 5 days after it occurred. Damn geram oh. Another thing, a week ago, Shannon inherited a red Cheong Sam from a family friend. After the maid put it on her, she looked down at herself and said, "woww!". *sigh* *smile to myself*

The Girl From Ipoh
Last Thursday, I went to watch 'The Girl From Ipoh' at KL PAC with my B, my sisters and some friends. It was a musical play directed by a friend of B's. The acting was applaudable. Heard of Carmen Soo? So familiar, siapa ba dia ni? Anyways, she was the lead.
The plot was predicatable and a bit draggy. It is about a Chinese girl from Ipoh who comes from a typical Chinese family. Father sells 'Hor Hee' mee. She is ashamed of her roots and refuses to speak Chinese. Her dream is to be Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's) and marry a wealthy non-Chinese man, preferably foreign. The play is set in Wong Mei Lin (I am thinking this is her name but can't recall); the girl from Ipoh's brain; her thoughts. Her thoughts are represented by a choir of 'butch' women. In her mind, she is Holly Golightly aka Audrey Hepburn. Super gorgeous. But in reality she is 4'9" and weighs over 200lbs. Mei Lin longs to be worldly and sophisticated and creates this image to fool everyone around her. After completing her studies 'overseas' and adopting a foreign accent, she begins work in KL. Soon she falls in love with a 'sophisticated' local man who whadyya know, turns out to be a superjerk. Suddenly, she finds herself all alone and carrying an illegitimate child. Then, bla bla bla... you can pretty much figure out the rest. Several scenes were in Chinese which I do not understand but by the audience's reaction, I'm guessing these were the funny scenes. Albeit slightly draggy and predictable, the performance has strengthened my faith in Malaysian acting/directing talent. You will definitely hear more about future local theatricals from me. The Malaysian performing arts scene is definitely progressing. One last thing, the crowd was pretty interesting, trendy and artsy-fartsy. Quite refreshing compared to the 'clones' I see cramming up Megamall on Saturday's. As for myself, I try not to be a 'clone', always trying to keep my sense of uniqueness (ahem!) in a city of vanishing individuality. Everyone looks the same. But that is a whole different story all together. Anyway, I will be watching "Why You Still Fat?" this week. It stars Afdlin Shauki.
