Signs of PMS?

On Saturday I went clubbing in KL with some friends. Bar Savanh then Poppy. F1 fever. Hah! Actually, I have been DYING to just get happy-tipsy on some whisky with green tea (i like it that way now, coke just makes me feel bloated) and dance the night away. Haven't done that in a while. I miss my true dancing partners (you know who you are). All the 'crazy-I don't give a shit how I look' dancing and singing loudly to the music - this could very well have been me singing by myself. He he. It just isn't the same here.*sigh*

I miss listening to music. Real good quality stuff and not 90% of the rubbish they play on the radio. The other 10% is the crappy ads and annoying DJ's blabbing. I am truly fed up of the 'african american', hip-hop, 'nigga-nigga' this and 'nigga-'nigga' that, sex-sex-sex music over and over again. What happened to music that meant something (besides i'm hungry for some booty/humps/'vagina')? Gotta start downloading something from the 90's. Start a wonderful collection. For free, hah!

I miss doing girly things with my girly-girls. Getting together, be it having a few beers or getting made-up for partying, bitching/laughing/crying and then laughing again, walking aimlessly around malls, drinking coffee, buying uselss-money wasting junk from 7E or any 24-hr store (there are so many now). In that time not having a worry in the world. Bes la. I miss it but that time has passed and I wouldn't go back. But I do look forward to bigger and better stuff together some time soon.

Back from The Dead

I read Tuesday's With Morrie. It's a book everyone should have and read (more than once). It offers simple life lessons we should all hold on to. Things we take for granted daily. Like looking at someone and really listen to them when they talk. Simple. Ok, maybe not all the time. I am currently reading The Song Of Silver Frond by Catherine Lim which i got from Carrefour for RM9.90.

No one watch Crash yet? Won best movie at the Oscars. Tempted yet? How about Brokeback Mountain? Thumbs down for Brokeback from me. They (Jake and Heath) screwed each other within the first half hour. Need i say more?

I will be attending Bala's brother's wedding registration this Sunday in a brown with tints of green saree. The full works, dangly earrings, chunky chain, bangles by the dozen and all. Possibly bells on my ankles too. Don't worry, there will be pictures! Accessory shopping starts today, yay!

I visited Ot's the other day and sat down to talk to my favorite niece (hehe). I asked her if she wanted to give her aunty Pu a hug. Her reply was, "do-wan la". And then I point to one of her new toys and ask her who bought it for her. She doesnt reply. Instead she points at her pink water bottle and says, "I buy dis" over and over again. Cute mau mate oh. And she's only 17 mths old. When she says hi, she goes "hi-yee" and bye is "bye-yee" plus pouty lips - like she is going to kiss you but turns to give you her cheek in time for you to give her a kiss instead. Cheeky that one.

To Feel Or Not To Feel?

Given a choice, would you rather have extreme feelings or no feelings at all? Which would be better? Let's consider. Being deeply and truly in love. Meeting a dear long-lost friend for the first time in 20 years. The birth of your first born child. Winning the lottery. Getting a CLS-350 for your birthday. Your wedding day perhaps. Acquiring that much desired promotion. Steaming Nasi Lemak from your favorite stall after being away from the country for 5 years. You are named Unduk Ngadau 2005. All this would evoke extreme feelings of happiness, pure joy, pride, excitment, bliss, satisfaction, contentment, you name it!

On the other hand, should someone you love tragically die in an accident, you will experience unbearable pain, heartache, depression, sadness. Or if the quaint coffee shop you've struggled all your life to own suddenly gets burned to cinders. You find out your husband of 20 years has been cheating on you for the last 19. Your son hates you. You're fat and ugly. Hmmm, induced feelings of wanting to die, loneliness, betrayal, hatred, more sadness, uselessness, hopelessness, wanting to give up, quit.

Imagine not knowing what its like to be in love or be loved. To not feel a mother's love. A husbands touch. Or not being able to feel the glorious morning sun in your face. How a juicy piece of lamb chop tastes, or a huge bowl of seafood tom yam, whatever your fancy. Salmon Sashimi! *gasp* Picture being unable to enjoy any of life's simple pleasures. The beauty of nature, exotic animals, even cute cuddly pets, the magnificence of Mount Kinabalu on a clear morning, white sandy beaches, blue crystal waters, massive raging waterfalls. Sex. Sex. Oh, to experiene all these wonders and feel nothing!! Now envision you've flattened Snowball, your beloved kitten while rushing to work on a Monday morning. Think back to when you had your first crush and found out that he actually preferred your best friend. Or your last love who has cut you so deep to the point where the wound will never heal. Suppose everyone around you has disappointed you in one way or another and there is no one you can depend on, no one to turn to. Think of physical pain - child birth, final stage cancer, stab wound, hunger. Someone you care for raped. A kaleidoscope of horrendous feelings flushed down the drain just like that, should you have no feelings at all. Feel no pain, no heartache or anger, no despair, no emptiness, or loneliness. So, which will it be, to feel or not to feel? I would choose, to feel zilch.

Good Morning

Not A Soul Around. Therefore, I Blog.

I have been trying to fart (a belch would do) the whole day. It's there. I can feel it but it refuses to leave my body. Bloated la. Itu la, dats why, it's that time of the month. I must drink more water because I should have taken a dump this morning but didn't. I only drink filtered or RO water from clear containers, either glass or plastic mineral water bottles. Everything else just makes me want to barf. Do not ask me why. It's hard to explain. I know it's a definitely a mental thing. Anyone else in the same boat? Probably not.
I will be cooking dinner for myself and Punie tonight. It will be the first time since I moved here. I have the ingredients for Thai fried rice. Sounds good, quick and simple. Pineapples in rice. Yum. I hope it turns out well.
Last night I swam 24 laps in the pool, which is equivalent to approximately 9 laps in an olympic size pool, sweat a bucket in the sauna, crunched 400 times and lifted some weights in the gym. It felt so damn bloody good. Now the impossible part is trying to keep it up.
Places I must visit before the new year:
1. Zoo Negara
2. Muzium Negara
3. Aquaria KLCC
4. One more performance at KL PAC

Birthday Characteristic

28th June & 15 September

You are a Cat:
An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool, when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.

13 May

You are a Monkey:
Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

24 May

You are a Lion:
Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfully derive work from people. You love being loved, and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....

6 & 9 December

You are a Dog:
A very loyal and sweet person.Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

Anyone else want their birthday characteristic?

The House Of Sand & Fog

Finally, I have finished reading this book. I decided to take this book slow, very slow. I read several pages every night before I went to bed. I quite like reading like this now. Dont get me wrong though, this is no indication of the stimulatingness or rivetingness of the book. Reading bit by bit actually gave me more time to absorb the book and understand the characters. This book is tragic and totally unexpected but a good read nonetheless. The only predicatable aspect of this novel is the fact that all the characters are in a lose-lose situation. There is a little to like and a little to dislike in each character. It's hard to choose sides. Very well written. I like it. Read it!

Kiss My Nose

Stabbed!

On Wednesday morning, one of our Staff got stabbed in the basement car parking lot. The victim was parked with his signal on just beyond an empty parking spot. As he is about to reverse in, another car rushes in and takes the space. After a heated argument, the second car decides to find his own parking spot. As the victim is leaving his car, the man from the second car (the assailant) confronts him. They argue further until both lose it and fists start flying. The attacker gives the victim a hard punch in the stomach and then decides to just leave it at that. The victim too decides to just walk away with minor bruises or so he thought until he reached the lift lobby. His shirt is drenched in blood. He is rushed to the hospital by a colleague. The cops are called and the 50 year old attacker who works within the building is traced. When questioned, the attacker admitted to punching the victim in the stomach with the sharp end of his car key but apparently didn't realize that he actually punctured a hole in the guy. He is now in plice custody pending further investigation.
Next time I am in a situation where there are two cars and one empty parking space, I am going to look for another one man! Creepy shit.
